Poster Session and Robot Zoo(Robot Demo) Instructions

Schedule

  • Poster presentations and RobotZoo will be held simultaneously in three core sessions on the afternoon of 6/7.
    • Core Time A: 14:30-15:20
    • Core Time B: 15:20-16:10
    • Core Time C: 16:10-17:00
    • Free discussion: 17:00-18:00
  • In addition, we will have an additional time session for Poster and RobotZoo on 6/8.
  • The sessions will be allocated as shown below. Please confirm the title and presenter. If you have any questions, please contact the organizer.

Poster size and installation/removal

  • The recommended poster size is A0 portrait.
  • Please print your poster by yourself and bring your poster to the venue.
  • The organizers will provide tape and other materials to set up the posters.
  • Poster boards will be set up at all times, and posters can be set up from June 6.
  • Posters can be left in place during the conference, so please use them for discussions. Posters must be removed by 6/9, the last day of the conference.

Guideline

  • Deadline of Extended Abstract for Poster session: Feb. 15, 2023 Mar. 10, 2023
  • The size of the manuscript must be A4 and should be typed in two columns with single spacing.
  • The number of pages allowed is up to 2 pages.
  • Submitted papers MUST BE in Portable Document Format (PDF). NO OTHER FORMATS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
  • Write your paper using the following LaTeX or MS Word templates. If you choose not to use these templates, please make sure that your paper strictly adheres to these formatting instructions in the following Sample Files.

Presentation Award

Presentations by students or those within 3 years of receiving their PhD (as of June 1, 2023) will be considered for presentation awards. If you meet the qualifications, please fill out the form below and submit this together with your paper by e-mail.

Submission for Robot Zoo(Robot Demo)

We encourage participants to contribute the hardware demonstration, ‘Robot Zoo’@AMAM2023. This will include the demonstration of robot/hardware itself and the possibility to display a poster. It is also possible to link the hardware to an oral presentation. The schedule of Robot Zoo will be assigned to the same slot of poster presentation. The demonstrators can also present their short remarks concerning the demo in the front of audience at poster spotlight session.

Please send demonstration proposals (at most two-page description of the activity to be carried out), including:

  1. Demonstration title,
  2. Demonstrators (name, affiliation, email),
  3. A description of the system to be demonstrated, photo materials, and URL with additional video,
  4. Equipment you will bring (e.g., laptop, robot), and
  5. Special requirements (must be reasonable, e.g. space for robots, table, access to power etc.)

Attention

Please contact Masuda (masuda[at]mech.eng.osaka-u.ac.jp) beforehand if your demo robot requires water, oil, or chemicals or generates very loud noises.
